im so sorry but they do jump out on you i see alot of birds and rabbits where i live and also feel so sad when i see them in the road but it is nice you gave peter a a name

Im sorry to hear of peter passing away,
A new life will await him at the end of that lovely rainbow he would cross one day, forever, he will cross them lanes again at the rainbow bridge. R.I.P. PETER

I know exactly how you feel. Living in the country it can be so very difficult to dodge these creatures.
Hopefully his death was quick, and he is now at peace.
