A letter to ♥Tia my peiby: 01/05/2006-11/11/2008 ♥


I longed to own a shar pei since i was a little girl, I saved hard and in 2006 i reserved a 3 day old pup, I couldnt wait for you to be old enough to come to your forever home.
Your first day home with us:

I named you Tia before i collected you as the first time i saw you it brought a tear to my eye, so Tia(same sounding as Tear stuck)

You were such a beautiful little girl, slept right threw without no whimpering at all, you were a little angel and so loving. Every morning you would run to me for hugs and were so clever i'd name a toy i wanted you to get and you would get the right one, although your favourite was T-Ted (short for Tia's Ted)

I watched you grow everyday, and you became a beautiful natured adult dog, you wouldnt leave my side when i was home.

When Hunny had her kittens you became a second mum to them, always making sure they were clean, playing so gently with them, you even became there bed as they would fall asleep on you. You were such a good girl.

Christmas 2007, didn't know it would be your last

At the end of the first week of September 2008 your back leg became tender and swollen, I was so worried for you when the vet said he would keep you in as you had an infection, but I kept visiting you. Until then we hadn't spent a day apart and it was really hard, but the infection cleared up and on the 10/11/2008 at 5:30pm I collected you and brought you home as the vet said you were getting better. I was so happy to have my T-Chops back. We shared beef and mashed potato that night, one of your favourite meals.

I even moved my matress into the livingroom so i could keep an eye on you, and you curled up on your bed next to me. We settled down around 11pm, I kissed your chubby nose goodnight, told you I loved you and gave you a big hug, I was so pleased to have you home.

I woke up just before 2am on 11/11/2008, but peiby you were gone ...... I'm so sorry I wasnt awake with you when you went. You were on the mend the vet had told me just hours before.

I miss you so much, i still do now. you were only 2, I should still have you with me now you would be 5. I hope you knew how much you are loved and that you are happy at Rainbow Bridge. Until we meet again Tia, T-Chops, My lil Peiby......Ill never forget you and i hope you like my tattoo i designed and had done for you, The hearts are for each year I had you. You'll always be with me this way. Love and big snuggly kisses ♥
