Roger

Here's my constant companion & best ever mate, Roger. Adopted him when he was 6 months old from Liverpool NCDL & we've been inseperable for the last 12 years. (That's Pud in the background!)

Roger developed "Alsatian Disease" in the end & despite a few months of tablets, I had to make the heartbreaking decision to say goodbye on Friday night. We foster our two granddaughters aged 8 & 5 and they've never known life without him. They were his pack & he looked after them. His rosettes were for coming 2nd for "Best Rescue Dog" & "Best Veteran" during a family fun day & at a local pony sanctuary. I'll miss you mate.

Re: Roger

What a beautiful Boy. I am so sorry for your loss. I know it must be heart breaking.
He had a wonderful life with you and your family. Something he might not have had if you had not adopted him. So be proud because you deserve it.
The memories of him will soon make you smile again and they will never fade.

R.I.P Roger and have fun at Rainbow Bridge xx

Re: Roger

Thanks for your kind comments, folks. They're very much appreciated.

Jill - you are right, he wouldn't have had such a good life if we hadn't adopted him. He'd never been over the doorstep before he came to us & didn't really know how to "be a dog". Soon changed though. His ears would prick up & he'd get excited if I came downstairs in my jeans & he'd sulk if I was wearing my suit for work

Re: Roger

So sorry to hear that - sending love to you and the rest of Roger's family. He looks like a wonderful dog. It sounds like you and your granddaughters will have loads of good memories of him to think of in the future, but you must be so sad now.

RIP Roger, have fun at the bridge x

Re: Roger

Its such a hard time now but soon you will be able to think of the good times you shared with Roger.

I bet he's having a great time at the bridge.

RIP Roger
