R.I.P Smokey, my sweet and loyal friend
My loyal and best friend Smokey passed yesterday 8th June.
She was a wonderful dog and she has left a huge hole in my heart. I hope that my decision to have her put to sleep was the right one and that one day we will meet again at the light of the Rainbow Bridge. Sleep well my darling xxx Smokey: Born 3rd July 1996 - Died 8th June 2011

I am so sorry for you loss of Smokey.
I am sure you did the right thing. We never want to see our pets suffer, you did the kindest thing. Soon happy memories of Smokey will make you smile again. R.I.P Smokey and have fun at Rainbow Bridge xx

I am so so sorry for the sad of loss of smokey, I really feel your heartache, I lost my beautiful dog Lucy 8 weeks ago tomorrow she was 15yrs 7mths and its still very painful. There are some wonderful people on here who will help you with your pain.
Thinking of you and sending big hugs to you. Run free Smokey at the bridge with all your new friends. x

Thank you all for your kind words, they are a comfort to me and my other dog Skye.
The sense of grief that I am feeling is overwhelming and I don't think that the pain in my heart will ever stop. I just hope that my best friend is at peace now. x

I am really sorry and hope that Skye is learning to live without her lifetime friend.
Smokey is at peace now and yes, the dreadful ache does get better. It signifies all the love you have for Smokey and in time will take its place in the corner of your heart reserved only for him x
