Too young
This morning I watched one of my green tree frogs die at less than one year old. 2cm in size. He was against the glass then suddenly his legs straightened out and his throat swelled I saw the whole thing happen, I picked it up and looked on helpless as he died in my hand, I even did little compressions with my thumb in a vain attempt to revive him, he twitched then was dead.
He will be missed.
What is more important now is finding out what happened so it doesn't happen to the others!
Temp was correct, humidity, place to hide, place to soak in treated water, places to climb, dusted gut loaded insects, antifungal and antimite treatments every few weeks, regular changing of moss, amphib safe disinfectant.
The death has made no sense.
