Goodbye Baby

My lovely Puppy Lexi was put to sleep yesterday after a long illness. I cannot stop crying. I cannot imagine not seeing her any more. I want to do something positive and am considering fostering. Would it be wise to wait?

Re: Goodbye Baby

I am so sorry for your loss of Lexi.
It is so heart breaking to loose a pet.
My thoughts are with you and i hope soon that happy memories of Lexi will replace the pain of what you are going through right now.

R.I.P Lexi and Run Free to Rainbow Bridge xx

Sorry i didn't answer about fostering.
I think that is a great idea. It will keep you busy and you will be giving your love and attention to other little ones that are in great need.

We recently lost our cat of 16 years to a road accident and i was like you, in bits.
So we decided to get another kitty and it has helped so much.
Laughter and fun has returned to the house hold.
So I wish you all the best.
There are a few people on here that can put you in the right direction for fostering.
Good Luck.

Re: Goodbye Baby

Hello, I am so heartfelt sorry for your loss, you need to heal a while then you will feel better able emotionally to think about fostering, as the very word fostering suggests temporary and your emotions have taken a bashing already, please wait, you'll be in a better place then.Enjoy your memories of your baby and know they never ever leave you Spiritually, you'll know when they are around for a visit. Hugs Lynnejo xx

Re: Goodbye Baby

Thank you so much for all your kind words. I know many people lose their pets every day and knew I would find comfort from some of them. My head tells me I should wait to foster and take on board the temporary aspect. My daughters say the same thing. But my heart is in pieces and I feel the need to give something to a dog in need. I could do nothing to save my Lexi and miss her so much. Maybe I can help another.
