There is certainly something seriously wrong with this particular pond. At first I considered a certain aquatic invertebrate as the culprit (Dragonfly larvae can catch and eat small fish), however five fish is too much for an insect to handle in such a short space of time; and if there are no marks on the corpses of the dead fish then this rules out predation as a possibility altogether.

If I could come and physically see the pond, I would gladly drain it down for you and dredge the silt at the bottom for any clues, as well as take skin swab and faecal samples and from any surviving fish and place them under a microscope.

It's an odd time of year to be losing fish in these numbers

Indeed, it's not like it's during the middle of summer when water temperatures are higher and fish mortality rates are greater due to a lack of DO.

I don't know what is happening to them. The last few I hve lost have been in the tank but these were in the pond.
