RIP Belle

Yesterday a friends gorgeous Dalmatian Belle managed to get out and was hit by a car. The evil b*****d who hit her did stop, but just looked at her , got back in his car and drove away (he was seen by a workman doing that)
She was taken to a vets , but sadly was too badly hurt to save.
she was only 3 years old

RIP sweet Belle
Run Free
xxxx

sorry , the only photo's I have of her are playing with my lot

Re: RIP Belle

Words fail me how some people can just be so cruel and heartless.
I feel so sorry for your friend and how she must be feeling right now.
It's nice to know she has friends like you to help her.
Lovely photos of Belle playing with her friends. She must have had a lovely happy life.

R.I.P Belle and run free at Rainbow Bridge xx

Re: RIP Belle

The same thing happened to my Cavalier King Charles a few weeks back, We think she was hit by a car, as we found her just lying on the road, it was strange tho as she had no marks on her body at all! She died instantly on the way to the vets! Drivers should be more careful!

Rip Belle, im sure you are sadly missed !! so sorry for your friends loss !! Run free at rainbow bridge ! xxxxx

Re: RIP Belle

awww hun im so sorry to hear about your dog

apparently some people have a lead on the car so hopefully this man will be caught , ive heard its illegal to hit a dog and not report it , not sure how true that is

I dont think anyone would be as angry as they are if the man had stopped and helped , after all I doubt he could have missed her as she ran infront of him ... its the fact he just stood by his car , looked at her and drove away thats p*****g everyone off , she was crying in pain so obviously she needed help
Luckily within seconds six other neighbours were there with her helping get her into a car and to a vets

I hope that man , whoever he is , is paid back for his callousness towards a hurt animal

It IS illegal to not report to the police if you have hit a dog. Hopefully if they have a lead on the car, the car will have some damage to it that can prove the driver was the person responsible and he can be prosecuted.

It is a callous act to get out, look at a hurt animal and then drive off - I wonder if he slept that night. Hopefully the guilt is ruining his life. Sorry if that sounds callous
