he flew to the bridge

my old finch passed over to the bridge today at 1-20 his mate snowbabe had previously passed over in june they were both bought up together and slept in the nest all there lifes, they were inseperable, they are reunighted at last, i knew that he would follow one day as he spent his later life a lonely little finch it was terribly heartbreaking to see him go they sang so many beautiful tunes together and i still have videos of them when they was only an inch high although they were both miniture they were both unique, they were brother and sister
i believe that they were older that what i said i had them both in late 1996
all my love to snow bunting boy who gave us many wonderful yrs of joy with his girl snowbabe
rip little one fly free at last

love wendy xxx
i will upload photo soon of them both

Fly free together little finches xx

It's horrid when a finch loses his mate isn't it, one of my original pair passed away a year ago and I couldn't bare to see him on his own so got him another one, they sleep in the nest together but it's not quite the same. The original two used to snuggle up together and preen one another but he doesn't do it very often with his new friend

Re: he flew to the bridge

I think that losing a little bird can be very hurting for the years they spent with us although they are very small, they leave a mark in our lifes,
i knew that the little finch wouldnt last with out his mate and many years they spent going to sleep inside the seed pot, i remember them when yrs ago when i was given them at 2 wks old, they nearly didnt survive do to being tossed out there nest into a puddle of water and then they were both dried with a hair dyryer because they were soaked they survive and it was towards the fall they had there full song i know that the male who died we called him snow bunting , just a nick name fore him, as he had is little trumpet song he was like a little clockwork bird , but snow babe had a different song, they had live many winters with us and luckily survived the malt and i believe even though he was going light i knew yesterday that he was trying to eat but he was disoriented in himslf it was only a matter of a short while,
he had fullfilled his destiny at rainbow bridge
rip little one memorie will live forever in our hearts xxx
love wendy
dear members
