miss you so much!

Ive posted this on here a couple of weeks ago:

Bushi my Akita dog, had been looking poorly for a couple of days, his nose were swelling,it swelled sooo much that you could see his teeth without him even opening his mouth, he was weeing for a long periods of time's, was drinking ALOT (THE VETS SAID HE DID THIS BECAUSE HE THOUGHT IF HE DRUNK IT WOULD ALL GO AWAY LIKE CLEAR OUT OF HIS BODY! IT FELT LIKE A REALLY BAD HANGOVER TO HIM ACCORDING TO THE VETS) he was going skinnier, half way through walks he would stop and wouldnt move. So we booked an apointment at the vets, we went to the vets and Bushi was diognosed with "Kidney Failure" the vets said he didnt have long to live so we tried to spend as much time as possible with him, we had profestional pictures took with him, he was getting injections every few weeks to try and slow down the kidney failure, but sadly On the 18th August, we had to get Bushi put down , he was tooo poorly you could tell her was stressed now too, because his tail had gone down, he had lost loads more weight, his nose had swelled about 4 times the size it should be, he was just grumpy all the time and wouldnt stand up. luckily he was malting at this time so i saved abit of fur and put it in a box and it now sits on my desk in my bedroom I MISS HIM SOO MUCH! NOT A DAY HAS GONE BY WHERE I HAVENT THOUGHT OF MY BEAUTIFUL BOY! LOVE YOU LOADS BUSHI! WILL NEVER EVER FORGET YOU. always in my heart. xxxxxxxxx.

the pictures below are of my beautiful boy! the first one is the profestional picture of him, the second is one where you can see how much his mouth has swelled and you can see him teeth, the third is just a general picture of my boy but still see the swelling not as bad though, the other picture is just a edit of mine, the last one is a profestional picture of me, my sis, bro, and my brothers girlfriend.

Re: miss you so much!

So so sorry to hear of your loss, I know just how you feel.

On 29th August I had to put my beautiful Jack to sleep after 16years together! He was my first and best friend xxx

He was also 'taken' by kidney disease, he received his diagnosis on June 10th and from what we were told and had read, although it was 'end-stage' he was doing quite well, (you could only really tell he was ill by his incontinence) he was responding well to the medication and had regular check-ups, it had got to the point where he went 1 month without needing a check-up and then we were told we did not need another for 3months as he was doing so well, unfortunately my beautiful baby did not make it that long and deteriorated so badly in just a few short days.

You are so lucky that you had professional photos done, he looks so beautiful, even if it is not him at his 'best', that is not meant as an insult, it is meant as I know how bad it can be to see your pet get so ill, the picture of your Bushi where you say you can see how really ill he is reminds me so much of my Jack in his last few days, although I do not have any photos taken of Jack in the last few days, the images cannot be removed from memory, you could see all of Jack's ribs he was so slim, he could not even stand alone for long.

The pain does ease in time - although I'm still feeling quite raw, this forum has been a great help and I hope you come to us in need of comfort, I am on here almost daily if you need to chat.

I hope they meet at Rainbow Bridge and play free together, forgetting the misery of such a horrible disease and remembering us greatly!
I know how hard it can be to remember having your loved one pts, and the guilt that you might feel - I also know that however much you know it was the best thing, it still hurts deeply. Please try to remember that it was the best thing to do for Bushi and that he knows this, he knows that you loved him and that it was the greatest act of love and kindness!

Your love for him, and his for you, will never be forgotten, seek comfort in the good times you had together, and the many more that will await when you meet again!
Thinking of you, take care of yourself xxxxxx

Re: miss you so much!

I do know how you feel, it is only 2 weeks today that Java & Topal were put to sleep, somedays l cry non stop, then others just shred a tear.
I have been in touch with rescue centres, not because l want to replace Java, l never could, l loved him more than l loved some people, he was my baby,
but because there are so many dogs needing a home where they can be loved, cared for.
How can l stop another dog being safe in my arms, l have no right as a dog lover to stop another dog being warm infront of the winter fire.
You may feel the same one day, that day you will be able to move on just a little, never leave your memories, but sometimes it might help you.
Do take care Bev
