One of my female buns, Misty, is very poorly

I noticed last night that her fur was dirty as though she had had a bad tummy. She wasn't interested in her supper either so I took her in and cleaned her up and gave her some critical care type stuff by syringe which she did take.

I got up about 5.45 am this morning to check on her and she hadn't moved all night and looked very dopey. I called my vet thinking I could take her straight up and the vet said to take her in at 8.30 am!! I got there early but the vet wasn't there until 8.45 am.

Poor little Misty has a sore tummy. She had two injections and I had to leave her there so they could put fluids through her and also try to get her eating again. The vet couldn't tell me if she would be OK or not

I had one of my cats spayed yesterday and was a wreck all day worrying about her and now I have another one to stress over (guess it is my own fault for having so many fur children!)

I am just keeping my fingers crossed and sending out reiki healing and prayers to the patron saint of bunnies (if there is one!) that she will be OK. She is only about two.

I've checked the other five and they all seem OK - no runny bottoms and they are bouncing around as usual. The vet thought it may have been something Misty ate but she had nothing different to usual or to the other buns.

Oh I am so sorry to hear your little one isn't very well at the moment!

It's always a hard time when things like this happen... but that is part of owning pets unfortunately. It isn't always happiness

I really hope she pulls through. Please keep us updated on her progress.

Misty died

Will post in Rainbow Bridge and just hope the poor darling didn't suffer at all.

The vet doesn't know why she died even though she did a post mortem. I said I couldn't afford one but she wanted to know herself so said she wouldn't charge. She said her tummy looked OK and it could have been a virus or infection but it sounded like she was guessing.

I should have taken her in last night but my vet is a sole practitioner and part of a consortium for emergencies so I could have ended up going anywhere.

I have five other bunnies and they all live together so I have just scrubbed their hutches. The others seem OK at the moment.

Am going to pick her up shortly and a friend will help me bury her. I was going to have a private cremation and bury the ashes but it was over £100 and I just don't have it after having had Tabitha spayed and microchipped yesterday.

I love my fur children and they give me so much pleasure but when it hurts this much I sometimes think I should be pet free!!!

Ohh thats such a shame, poor you & misty it sounds as though the vet did everything possible for your girl. hope your others are ok for you
