My bunny maureen had her 1st litter of babies. I have never had a mum and babies before and have no idea when she had them. I knew she was pregnant but not when she was due gave her plenty of food hay fruit and veg. I glanced in at the nest every day last week but didn't touch it so didn't see anything! she's started to feel bit skinny on spine and hips. she's vaccinated eating and drinking fine droppings are normal she has bright eyes etc so i let her out in the garden today to stretch her legs(which she loved!!) I checked the nest while she was out and i spotted atleast 4 fur covered babies wriggling round!
Has mum lost bit of condition due to feeding babies?? and can anyone estamate by my brief description how old these buns are likely to be?? I haven't touched them or the nest as been advised against it until they come out. |
