have been trying to bond my 2 bunnies for AGES now, over the last week have been trying a new method, putting them in a pet carrier together and taking them out in the car/for a walk... because they are nervous theyre supposed to snuggle together for support, and i have to say its worked wonders!!!
wasnt really into the idea of this as i dont really want to stress them out on purpose, but desperate times calls for desperate measures before i did this i was having some trouble with them fighting, however yesterday but them in the pen in the garden together and they were actually rather civilised if ur having trouble bonding rabbits would definately try this method! |

Re: breakthrough!!!
I have has a few fights trying to bond my 2, I'm going to try the car technique just waiting to find a pet carrier, apparently sainsburys are doing them for £20! glad they are finally getting on! did u just put them in the run and leave them to it after the car trip? do u leave urs together the whole time or just when supervised?

Re: breakthrough!!!
£20? not bad!
![]() they dont live together yet because of the fights in the past and stuff, i need to be sure i can trust them before i can leave them alone together, otherwise i think they might kill each other theyve had a few fights before and to be honest i was starting to lose hope as ive not really seen any progress for a while now, however this car journey thing seems to have done the trick, theyre not best buddies yet but were so much better with each other in the pen yesterday, and no fighting which is the main thing (usually theyre trying to attack each other straight away) just hope it continues really, i so want them to live together its bloody hard work! |

Re: breakthrough!!!
This is great method, just please makesure you do not give them too much space too soon, gradually increase it, if they start to fight, decrease it, honestly this is so important!!! For the sake of them being cooped up for a couple of weeks for a lifetime bond trust me its worth it!!
