breeding like rabbits!!

Hi i have a litter of 5/ 6 week old dutch bunnies who are living in a hutch with mum,Today i went to clean out the sleeping compartment,i only do this every couple of weeks because they only soil in the other side,and there was a nest full of baby rabbits!!!so now im really baffled,mum hasnt been in any contact with dad since concieving current litter,so whats happened!!

maybe its something to do with a stalk!

Ive heard that rabbits can get pregnant twice,she was with male for a few weeks,so maybe this has happened??so mum has got 2 lots of babies in hutch now,its just weird

How soon did you take the male away? rabbits can concieve immediately after giving birth again.

I left female in with male until 1 week before she gave birth!when she was taken out and put back in her hutch,she had her litter and has been on her own since.

Is it possible that she became pregnant,then was made pregnant again before i moved her??ive heard this can happenno one would have put her in with boy.I just have the 2 rabbits that ive bred before,used to be brc reg and breed standard rex rabbits,but just pets now

husbands nokia n95 died a death,so we cant take any pics at mohes been given a crappy sub for the moment,doesnt take pics.
