Fly eggs

One thing I keep meaning to ask... I always check my bunnies bots as I'm terrified of flystrike but I was wondering, if a fly did lay its eggs on them what would they look like? and how big are the eggs?

Not sure if its just where I live but there seems to be loads of huge flies about at the mo and so I've been doubly paranoid about it

Re: Fly eggs

One of my rabbits recently had flies lay eggs on her (she insiss on rolling in god knows what), got it sorted before it could go into flystrike. You'll notice them quite easily, they look almost like mini grains of rice, quite small but big enough to see and can be a yellowy/white colour.

Re: Fly eggs

Eurgh that pic made me shiver! It matches your description perfectly though Kammie!

Thanks very much, helps to know what I'm looking for so I can tackle the problem should the need arise.
