I find this very offensive.
I move heaven and earth for the rabbits here, i can guarantee, if i was not here, at least 20 of the rabbits (past and present) would have died.
I take every potential adoptee individually, have a pre adoption form to fill out, then you can come and meet the buns. I then do a homecheck, if i am happy, you can then adopt and make an appointment for bonding. Which i do myself. Adopting needs not to take forever, as long as people are not wasting my time by changing appointments, not having their setup ready when homechecking etc, i have adopted out to people around a week after their enquiry. I am currently doing 2 bonds now, a pair and a group of 5. The 5 went everywhere with me if i had to pop out as i didn't want them to be unaccompanied in the first 2 days. If a bun does not bond- i will try and rematch them with potential buns looking for partners, if after 4 bonds, they have not,
then i rehome as a single bun, but
only to be a house bunny. They get cleaned daily- taking 3 hours a day minimum, paperwork is constant and between 9am-8pm you can guarantee i have a pretty constant ringing phone, so i say rescues can set standards to whatever the hell they want. If i have a bad feeling, it has normally been right.
