Myrtle needs a home

Hello everyone!

I am new to this site and unfortunately I am joining under sad circumstances. My little housebunny, Myrtle, needs a new home with a friend. She has been on her own since our beloved Poppy passed away and now we are no longer able to keep her in the house due to a change in personal circumstances.
Myrtle is approx 4yrs old, in excellent health and she is a dutch cross. Very pretty girl who is very quiet and very shy until she gets to know you. She loves eating treats from your hands but is desperately lonely at the moment.

Anyone who thinks they can help, I would love to hear from you. I am in the Lincolnshire area but am willing to travel to find the right home for my Myrtle.

Re: Myrtle needs a home

I would offer but at the moment all of my does have decided that now is the time to become pregnant.
At any other time some of the does would have false pregnancy, or maybe it is because I am using a young buck this year instead of the 12 year old buck that died last year.

Re: Myrtle needs a home

I wish I could help but I just picked up my two rabbits from the rescue centre on Friday. I have been looking for a while too so its just bad luck and timing

If you cant find anywhere and you are within reach of Kirkby in Ashfield then there is a wonderful rescue center there. She would be really well looked after there with lots of other bunnies.

I feel guilty that I cant take her now but I dont think she would bond with the two I have. I am also very new to bunny care

That was so sweet to reply even though you couldnt help. I don't think that Kirkby in Ashfield is too far so if you have a contact number or any details I would be very grateful for them.

Thanks again...Carol

Hello all...just to let you know that my beloved Myrtle has now been rehomed. She has also got a lovely new boyfriend called Roger! I was heartbroken to let her go but feel happy that she will have a better life with her new friend.

Thanks again for the replies. Carol
