Covered litter trays

Does anyone use the litter trays that are all covered in for their rabbits?

Norman is really good with his tray but he is in the kitchen and I thought it might look abit cleaner and tidier if I couldnt see what he had for his lunch when im cooking my meals! Also when he jumps out he tends to knock afew little poops on the floor....having 3 of 4 sides covered in might help stop this happening! x

Re: Covered litter trays

I have used them and they aer brilliant however not all rabbits will be confident enough to got hrough the flap door.
I would start by taking the flap door of and getting him used to it that way and if you want then put it back on and encorage him to use it by playing with him.
Definitely less mess and much more hygenic in my opinion.

Re: Covered litter trays

Merecedes and Mclaren have one of them, I managed to break the flap so they havent got one, but they would go thru it when they did have one. I have also used them for sand pits and every rabbit used will go into go into it to have a play!
Only problem I have found is if i put too many woodshavings in there then they dig and push the woodshavings out of it.
