Introducing house rabbits to house cats

I have 2, 5 year old female indoor Burmese cats, both spayed. I am going traveling for a year and my friend has offered to foster them while I am away. She has 2 rabbits that occasionally roam the house. Will my cats be ok with them or will they see the rabbits as prey? We are going to introdue them gradually. Any ideas on how we can make them become friends?

Thanks x

im unsure how the cats will react to the buns but my cat was fine with the rabbits but then i have large breeds who are bigger than the cat lol

best thing to do is have buns in a cage and see how the cats react to them or vise versa.

you will also have to watch that the rabbits dont attack the cats as rabbits can give a nasty bite if scared.

Id like to know the same with introducing norm to dogs - my mum has 2 yorkie pups and i promised i would look after them in sept when my parents go away (this was before i got norm).

My parents havent been on hol for years and they have been saving for this for a long time for my mums 60th I know they cant afford to board the dogs and wouldnt want to as Buddy the boy is quite nervous, Holly the girl couldnt give a cr@p who looked after her!

Yes it can be done i introduced my 3 year old bengal to my buns when i adopted her, but it has to be done carefully and even when they accept eachother i would never leave them together unsupervised.
