Question time for neuter!

hey guys
im gettin my bowie neutered on thurs. iv looked on the net all bout after care but ders not much bout prior care? is there much to it?? is there and particular questions i should ask? should i ask the vet for medication for bowie to help ease his pain ??he's only 8 months so i know he's at a gud age for it. any help would be very much appreciated. thanks

Hiya

Just makesure he's eating and drinking as normal, if the vet advises you to starve him go to another vet never starve a bun its very dangerous. My vets keep my buns overnight and makesure they poo, get pain relief and keep them until they are happy hopping round so im not sure whether he would need anything other than what they give him before he comes home. Maksure he has a clean hutch to come home too, he probably will be a little quiet for a couple of days, just makesure he's eating, drinking and pooing, and that you keep bedding as clean as poss

hey thanks a million! he was supposed to come home on the same day but is stitches opened so kept him another nite. wen he got home he was runnin around and as crazy as he always is his new girlfriend just moved in today and tryin to get them to get used to each other slowly but surely, cross ur finger for me

Glad he's ok, is his girlfriend spayed? Because Bowie can stay fertile for up to 6 weeks post op!
