Well that has turned into needing an emergency dental because Bluey has stopped eating, Bluey never stops eating, even when he had bitten a huge chunck of his tongue off he still showed interest in food so he must be feeling very bad
Ouch! How did he bite a chunk of his tongue off?

I hope he gets better soon. Keep nomming on the hay Bluey xxx

I rescued him from a tiny hutch at the bottom of a garden, the old owners only fed him as and when they remembered, in the year I tried to get him out I never once saw any hay in the hutch
Due to the poor diet he had horrendous spurs to the point that they had pierced a hole in his tongue
He went in for an emergency dental but due to the amount of work they had to do on his teeth they had the clamp on his tongue for quite a while which made it feel numb.
When he was eating hay the tongue must have got in the way and because he couldn't feel it properly proceeded to bite off a huge chunk from the front of it (I actually found the tip ).

You could imagine my horror when I checked on him at about 3am I see my lovely WHITE rabbit completely covered (and I mean covered) in blood, the poor boy had made it worse because he tried to clean himself up which just spread the blood around (I actually screamed when I saw him and I am NOT a screamy kinda girl lol).
The poor vet when we turned up must have had a fright because poor Bluey had sneezed in the car on the way which ended up with me also covered in blood

I had to syringe feed him water and recovery food for over a week because the poor boy couldn't eat even though he wanted to, he was even trying to suck hay at one point lol.
There is a thread on here somewhere of when it happened but I cba to find it LOL
