I'm sure George would have great fun with a conti even though they're all male, George still likes to hump his teddy and Embers head.

The rescue is Bobtails, they're conti cros british giants.

Re: Giants!

The only problem with giant rabbits is their life span. They are considered old if they get to 6.

Depends how you look at it. Some people don't want a long commitment like you would potentially get with a nethie, for instance.
I think the important thing is just to know what to expect, the same as if you were looking at breeds of dog and their life expectancy.

Re: Giants!

Doesn't matter how long they live as long as they are well cared for and loved as long as they are with us.

Besides life expectancy doesn't mean much. I had an average 2kg rabbit who died at the age of three under GA, I won't go into the details as it still upsets me but he shouldn' have died that young but he did. Theres also a member on here who has a 13 year old rabbit who is still going strong when the average age for the average rabbit is usually stated as 8 being old. I currently have an 8 year old who is still going strong considering her many problems.
