Re: Stupid question
My rabbit had a corner tray for his cage but I found he aimed better with a low lying, rectangle, cat tray (Cat trays are also cheaper). Also, to help him a little bit more, we only put sawdust in his litter tray and line the rest of his cage in newspaper.
I must say though, he will only use his litter tray if it's in his cage and won't go to the toilet otherwise, apart from the odd poop. I have no idea why. ![]() |

Re: Stupid question
I would put some lino in if you can, will save your hutch in the long run and then I used to use (and still do for the guineas) newspaper at the bottom, then woodchip/shaving-straw mix or cross cut paper. The guineas do most of their wees in the bed and the paper isnt as absorbant as the wood based substrates, just to let you know.
I would also say just a flat, low sided cat tray might be better and less in the way for them. *Heidi*
