Wink Ive been hunting wabbits

To be more precise I was hunting the wabbits from next door, I looked out of the window and the bunnies from next door had escaped from their chicken coop affair that they live in. A big black cat was taking a huge interest in them and Im not sure if cats kill rabbits, so I left my poor mum waiting for me while Ive just spent the last 40 minutes hunting them down with a mixture of cunning, a broom and dandylion leaves . I dont think it would have been a huge problem if we hadnt all had fence panels blown down in the high winds so they could have (and nearly did) get onto the road. I nabbed one but the other one was having too much fun, luckily my neighbour came home and managed to chase her towards me. I did get a little cuddle off Daisy in payment for my bunny hunting services, before I put her back though

Re: Ive been hunting wabbits

They are little buggers when they run off haha i find shaking the food bag works well. If Bebe runs off in the garden, a quick shake of the food bag brings her back within seconds lol x

Re: Ive been hunting wabbits

Cats do kill rabbits, i've seen a domestic cat catch an adult wild rabbit. We managed to scare the cat enough so it let the rabbit go but it went straight back on the hunt for it again.

I didnt have any food for them so I ended up waggling dandylion leaves at them and they obviously thought that was hillarious, I can imagine them thinking, ooh lets play with the stupid human, lets see how fast it can run

Im glad I did catch them then, it wasnt a huge cat and they arent tiny rabbits but it was in full on crouch and pounce mode so I didnt want to go out and risk coming home to something horrible, they really are adorable little rabbits even if I didnt think so earlier when I was chasing them around the neighbourhood.

Haha!!! I find a rabbit of the opposite sex works well. Once Gus got under the shed and refused to come out...I was out there an hour an a half before I had the ingenious idea to get out my darling Cookie in a cage bless her...male hormones got the better of him
Sarah+Hammies likes this.

I didnt have a spare male bunny either, to be honest I didnt know what sex these two were until their owner came home, but they are lady bunnies
