New Bed Area

I wanted them to have somewhere that I could pile in the bedding and it be lovely and warm, but it needed to be a fair size!
So I changed one of the shelves into a bed area, using a glass door that we had laying around

Looks good and they seem to like it!

Hey how did you get in there!

I realised after that I took the pictures before I cleaned the sawdust(from cutting the frame) off of the glass, so it looks really mucky! And the bit that Kimba's nose is sticking out of is now blocked off
The glass front lifts totally off (its blummin heavy!) so I can clean it and so in the summer it can be back to a shelf if needs be.

Re: New Bed Area

They have decided that the bedding needs to be chucked out of the hole and down the ramp so I have to try and think of something to stop them! They really are little buggers!

Lol, you never know. Im going to Canada for 3 weeks to help my sister out with the kids
I do get some help from dad tho, he actually did most of this one because I was trying to find out who the husky I found belonged to!
I made all of the run by myself, most of the shelves and the guinea hutches

Hi Heidi
It looks great is the glass laminated safety glass so it wont shatter into pieces? I just worry if they have a barney and kick it'll go everywhere.

But of course they will dig all the paper out! thats the best bit

Re: New Bed Area

Mwahh ha ha, have stopped them kicking all the straw out, put a plastic strip at the bottom of the hole so hopefully it couldnt just be pushed out but they still managed it so... now I have plastic strips over the hole that they have to push thru to get in and out (like they do in cold storage places) and so far, so good Gypsy had it all to herself this morning, she looked rather comfy!

It was originally on a cabinet for a stereo or something like that, its very thick and very heavy! I dont think they will be able to do much with it, I have actually dropped it already and it didnt break so thats a good sign
