This poster is really good, went into p@h and you could rrally tell they had stocked up for christmas they had so many rabbits, guineapigs and hamsters.I so wanted to get these to ratties but I said I would wait till after christmas and buy them from a very nice breeder which I am

Got to agree that it's far more expensive to care for a rabbit (properly) than I would have thought. Clearly it's more than my stepdaughter expected too (she thought she could just stick him in a hutch and give him pellets every day and that would be it) - which is why he now lives with me! It's so sad that there is still such a common misconception that rabbits are cheap, easy to care for and don't need much space!

Quite easily, I have spent £3??.?? on a double decker hutch and run combi. He has HVD vaccination once a year and Myxi vaccination every six months. I spent £7 minimum in veg a week. £20 for hay, straw and sawdust a week. Burgess Excel £4.?? every other week. Treats £10.00 per week (including salt wheels).

If it doesn't equate to £11,000 over 5 years it won't be far off.
