Apple tree outside...

Would it be okay/safe for me to fetch an apple to give to my buns as a treat? I don't know what type of apple tree it is though...

Or maybe some branches to chew on instead?

Thanks

Re: Apple tree outside...

Is there ANY chance the tree could have been sprayed with pesticides? If it is close to a road then I wouldn't use it due to the pollution levels inside the tree.

If you are sure it is fine then yes you can give a little bit of apple as a treat (no pips), they love ripping up the branches too

Re: Apple tree outside...

Well - I live up the top of some very steep steps - quite high from the road. There's a cute patch of grass out the front of my house with an apple tree in the middle. Occasionally the council will come up and mow the grass so I guess I don't know for sure?

It's dark and gloomy today so neither of them have wanted to leave their hutch so want to give them a treat.

The sooner I get them bonded the better as so worried about them being lonely and bored this winter

Thanks for the speedy response x

Re: Apple tree outside...

If it was me I would probably give it a miss as you can't be certain that the council haven't sprayed the tree with anything
