I agree that it's tough finding money for vet bills. My local vet have a pet plan, where you can pay a small amount per month towards essentials like jabs and flea and worm treatments. Perhaps it's worth investigating if any of your local vets offer anything similar? This really helped me spread the payments as I knew that jabs etc. were one thing I couldn't compromise on.

I hope your new arrival settles in well - good luck!
Hi, i shall look into this. Sounds really helpfull! I have had rabbits in the past, but i got them mid of the year so i (my parents) could afford vet bills etc. Coming upto christmas its hard to pay for vet bills aswell as christmas presents etc. Will be ringing up the vets during the week or next week to see what they can do. & Heidi I cant wait to get her/him.. will be showing her off Thanks x

Re: New family member coming next week!

at my vets a course of vaccinations for a rabbit is around £30 (the vaccines are £15 each x2)

I don't think that's too expensive as far as vets go. And its well worth doing even if you need to cut down on the amount you spend on gifts. I always say to people that having animals is like having babies, you fit around their life, not the other way around. People wouldn't usually put off vaccines for a child even if they needed to pay for them - so think of it this way for your bunny.

He/she will be happier with a partner, but we've had lone rabbits that have been happy for a few months while we waited to get them a partner. I always find the best pairs are a buck and a doe, with both of them neutered (this prevents hormonal confusion which is never nice!) You can put this off time after christmas and get her a friend then

She/he is very cute I can't wait to see more pictures <3

Some more advice for you: Sexing your rabbit, it isn't too hard to tell:
How to Sex Your Rabbits

that link will show you how to do it and what to look out for.

Good luck with your new addition <3
