I take it this is a good sign :D

I haven't started bonding Dooey and Amy yet, it's only been 3 weeks since he lost his furry teabags. Anyway, I went out to feed them before and when I opened Dooeys Hutch he took a flying leap out of it. He then proceeded to run over to Amy, sit next to her and they shared a bowl of nuggets. I was going to put him away but something told me to leave them and watch. After they'd finished Amy went off to eat hay. Dooey sniffed her, gave her a lick and then sat next to her to eat hay. It was so sweet. I would have loved to have left them longer but I had to go out.

Thats a pretty good sign If Amy is spayed then I wouldnt worry about introducing them before the 6-8 weeks.

Yep Amy is spayed. So you think on my next day off I should just go for it. They're always kissing through the bars on Dooeys Hutch.

Re: I take it this is a good sign :D

Thanks. When we bonded Amy with Alfie it was so easy, they got on from the start. So I was kinda worried about these two. I think mainly because the OH wasn't keen on the idea of another bunny. But Dooey needed a home and Amy needed a friend after Alfie died.
I can't wait to bond there two, there's nothing nicer than seeing buns all snuggled together x

i would still actually wait! it takes 4 - 6 weeks for the wound to heal, and if you introduce before it has healed you run the risk of ripping the sutures or getting an infection in the wound

it does sound very promising though

ah, I do not want open wounds. Alfie managed to bust his open 2 days after the event. I don't want to go there again.
