underweight mini lop
Hello. I have two rabbits, one male 11week old mini lop and the other a 13 week boisterous male [unknown breed as rescue]. The 13 week old is putting on weight well and has a fair amount of muscle covering his internal organs etc and jumps and runs about [also has just recently started going through his pubescent stage and started smelling and scenting things and generally being a bit more manly]. But the mini lop feels sooo skinny and weighs only 450g. he also is pretty sedate and sit still for long periods even when out. I've started feeding him separately incase the other is stealing his food [mini lop seems to take forever to eat each bit of food] any other ideas? They are both heading to the vet on thursday for vaccines and a check up. He just seems really quiet and thin. he is eating drinking and poo-ing normally.
Any ideas would be very appreciated. Thank you ![]() Alex x |

Re: underweight mini lop
i would get his teeth checked, the boisterous one could also be stealing all the food, its probably about time you were thinking of getting him (the 13 week old) neutered as long as hes over 1kg, they will both want neutering eventually
