Re: help on a rabbit?

Try some of the cardboard tubes that he can run through and mine have some plastic balls that they throw around! Does he have time outside, because my rabbits love to run in and our of the crinkly cat tunnels too!

Mine have the hollow balls so they can pick them up and I try and avoid beads as they chew them and don't want them to choke, but they do have one that has a small ball inside a big one that rattles, he should be ok so long as you check it regularly. Mine also love the cardboard insides of toilet rolls to chew and play with!

Re: help on a rabbit?

He needs a friend.
Rabbits dont do well on their own, they get so lonely.
So best thing to do would be to get him neutered if he isn't already and get him a wifey bun.

How big is his current accomodation?
It needs to be 6x2x2ft with a permanent run attatched so he has lots of space to run about when he wants to.

Also toys like willow sticks, willow balls, large jingly bells, cardboard tubes stuffed with hay and the carrot play patch are all good and mine love them.

Re: help on a rabbit?

He sounds like he is bored bless him, a friend will really help that as rabbits need company.

Also how big is his enclosure?
Is he neutered?

Re: help on a rabbit?

He sounds very lonely and depressed to be honest. Defo needs to be neutered and found a spayed female for company. Plenty of exercise and play with a pal sounds like what he needs.

Rescue centres are the best place by far to find a pal for him. Please please do not line the pockets of pet shops and breeders!
There are 30,000 rabbits in rescuie centres in the UK alone who are crying out for a new start. Also it means the one you get will be spayed and vaccinated too so saves you that inital outlay.

Re: help on a rabbit?

Oh bless him,he is just bored and as said previously he would really benefit from a friend providing you have a big enough setup.....but if thats what you decide to do,don't just put another bunny in with him and expect them to get along....you have to go through the whole bonding process or else he could end up hurt and even more miserable

Re: help on a rabbit?

as above, he needs a friend, is he neutered? if not thats your first port of call.

what size is his "cage" a rabbit needs a minimum of a 6 x 2 hutch (or a 5 x 2 double level hutch) with an attached 6 x 4 run
