All pleased

I bought a new xl pet carrier today so I can take the bunnies to vet at the same time. Millie was to see the vet today to see how her wee teeth are. I put Millie and Amos in it too and went to the vet. There's lots of room in the carrier for them all. When I saw the vet who operates on Millie, I asked her if there was anyway that I could minimize the risk of their bond. She said to bring all 3 in when she is being operated on and that they will keep Pickles and Amos in the vets and when Millie has come around they will put them all together. I think someone suggested this to me some time ago. Do you all think this is a good idea?

Re: All pleased

Thanks Heidi. Sharon the vet said that she has done it before for pairs. She will put them in a large dog crate. She's going to try to operate on Millie first so that she is over it quicker and quicker to recover and get put into the others cage. I know that poor Pickles and Amos will be stressed, but I feel it is worth it in order from preventing the bond breaking.
Yes, I am delighted at them all living together. I haven't seen all 3 cuddled together but I have seen Millie cuddled to Amos or Pickles. I have seen no chasing or any aggression. Though, in saying that ... I haven't seen any aggression between any of them even during bonding. I think I have 3 very chilled bunnies.

Re: All pleased

Thats great Jax
The little bit of stress the other two will be under is worth it for the bond not breaking. Infact the crate and the car ride in the carrier will proberly make the bond stronger
