Still searching for a single doe - East Yorks

I'm still looking for a spayed doe to bond with my dwarf lop boy (neutered)
I was offered a lovely one last week but now I've been let down on that one. RSPCA have non and the local rescue place doesn't spay or vaccinate them. Not too happy about the risk to my boy if I get one from there.
Hull animal welfare have some waiting to be spayed so will pop for a look round next week.
In the meantime if anyone knows of a nice female in this area needing a five star home for life with a gentle lop boy please let me know.
I'd really prefer a dwarf or mini lop but not essential, that's just personal preference that's all.
Pee'd off about being let down this week. I really had set my heart on her

I'm really sorry to hear you've been let down

Have you had a look on the rabbit rehome forum?
Honeybunnies rehome all over the uk so if you see a bunny you like Im sure a bunny-train could be organised to get her to you as that rescue is in Leicester so....I dont know if that's close to you or not!

Also known as a bunny-run
It means we organise people to bring bunny part of the way, then a bit further with the next person etc... until it reaches its destination.

A bunny train is where the bunny gets transported from where they are to their new home by usually more than one person travelling.
Say one person can do a few miles of the journey, then someone else takes the bunny and does some more of the journey. I hope that makes sense!
Alot of animals get taken from one place to another this way

Re: Still searching for a single doe - East Yorks

Oh I see. Isn't that lovely. It's so nice when people help each other out.
I have to say, I only joined this forum about a month ago and I've been amazed how helpful people with the same interest can be. Sometimes I pop on rabbits united to see if any for rehoming on there but tend to stick to here ad feel I'm starting to get to know a few people.
Most people I know would be interested to talk about dogs and cats but they all view rabbits as kids pets and it infuriates me. Plus because I have an 18mth old boy people think my bun is s child's pet!! No way, he likes to help put his hay and veg in and watch the binky's but that's it. Sunny is MY pet!!
Haha, sorry for the little rant there.

Re: Still searching for a single doe - East Yorks

So my little update. I spoke to a lovely lady at RSPCA Lincoln last night who may have a perfect one for me. I find out tonight if she is available or not.
As I had a home check done for getting Sunny last year and we have upgraded everything since then I am hoping they dont need to do another home check as I wont be able to have that done till next Tuesday. If they can pass me on previous visit and updated photos I may be able to pick her up this weekend.! Yey!!

... hope she is available. Already been let down once by somebody.

Re: Still searching for a single doe - East Yorks

Well, it looks like I am getting a very young dwarf lop doe from the RSPCA. I am hoping they won't need to do another home check as only had one end of last year and got new bigger hutch and enclosure since then. If they don't need to come I could maybe get her this weekend, if not it delays it a bit while we get homecheck done.
She's only very young. Hoping she will bond ok with Sunny.
Pics will follow if I get her.....
