Question Experience with Lino?

Does anyone have experience with using non-slip lino in their cages/sheds?
Just wanna know if its good to use vinyl lino, whether the rabbit slips on it (I've heard they are fine on non-slip but wanted your opinion) and whether they dig it up or chew it.

I'm thinking of maybe getting this lino
Non Slip Vinyl Flooring Kitchen, Bathroom CHEAP Lino 3m Beech - Beige Yellow 2m x 3m on eBay (end time 18-Jun-11 23:50:58 BST)
unless I find some for cheaper, but I'm not sure where I would :/

Thanks for reading

Re: Experience with Lino?

I dont buy non slip lino/vinyl. I just buy whatever cheap offcut there is!
I have used it in every hutch and I have never had a problem with the rabbits slipping on it. My rabbits have laminate on the floor now and they slipped on that for the first couple of days then they learnt how to walk on it! The guineas still have lino/vinyl.

The rabbits will chew any loose edges, so just fix it down really well, I use a staple gun usually.

Re: Experience with Lino?

Thanks for the comments. I have lino in the bathroom and I know Rini slips on that when she tries to shoot off (like the cartoon running) so I'd prefer to get non-slip.
I have a staple gun so I could do that, as long as the staples could stay in the chipboard that is. Could tack it with some little tacking nails instead?

I know a cheap carpet place nearby but i dunno if they JUST do carpet or have lino aswell.. :/

Re: Experience with Lino?

Its worth checking with the carpet shop, most do lino.

They get used to it, they learn (like Hammy in Over The Hedge) more pad, less claw!Mine dont slip on anything now they know how to walk on it!

XD You forget that Rini is a complete spacker, she could slip on sandpaper! XD I'm just sick of worrying about the chipboard getting wet! :/
