my rabbit is very shy and does not like me to touch her that much, if i do try to touch her then she will sometimes growl aand will put her ears down and step towards me.she also cannot be bribed by treats.... if i give either of my 4 1/2 yr old netherland dawrf bunnies some food they will both turn away and not eat (they are very private eaters!!)
how can i make them more tame??

Re: plz help!!!!

most rabbits do not like to be picked up, they like fusses on ther terms and at their level

are they neutered? neutering not only has a huge amount of health benifits, but it reduces hormonal behaviour, so should help to stop your doe growling and lunging at you

Re: plz help!!!!

Once you have neutered them hun they will calm down, at the moment they have hormones raging through there body all the time.

Re: plz help!!!!

Yes, that would make sense. Also (I don't have rabbits but this worked with my degus) You need to tame them gradually. They wont become tame straight away. You will need to gain their trust and make sure that they associate you with nice things, not just some stranger. hope this helped!
