Talking My rabbits...

Since I've just joined I thought I would share some pictures of my rabbits...

I'll start with Comfort. She is 3 years old. I have owned her since April 2005. She was born on 13th Feb 2005. I got her from a local breeder. I did enter her in a pet show earlier this year and she won a 1st for prettiest doe and a 2nd in the fancy class. She also got 2nd in the most unusual rabbit class. I was so proud of her! I just went along to meet other rabbit owners and wasn't expecting anything so was really pleased! Anyway to the pictures...

Re: My rabbits...

I got Lenor as a companion for Comfort. I contacted Comfort's breeder and told her I was looking for a friend for Comfort. She told me she had a little girl that needed a home as the rest of the litter were boys. I decided to see how they got on together and when I saw Lenor I fell in love I had to have him. Later on I discovered he was a boy, but decided to keep him anyway after I descovered that neutered male and female rabbits get on better. He was also in a rabbit show and he won 4 trophies and 3 rossettes. He won the lop class, the best presented rabbit class and the handsomest buck class. He also got a trophy for the Best In Show and I wasn't expecting that at all! Anyway...to the pictures...

When I got him...

Chillin out...

Well...mine were entered in the Pet show as they aren't registered with the BRC (British Rabbit Council) the show I took the pics from was a local show (to me anyway...up in Wick, Scotland) Mine are mixed English Spot x Lop so I couldn't register them with the BRC...though going and seeing all the different breeds of rabbits and meeting other rabbit folk was good fun...I wasn't expecting to get anything so was happy (understatement!) to win some rosettes and a couple of small trophies (ok I'll boast, I got five )

The British Rabbit Council ~ visit here to look for rabbit shows in your area...a lot of them also cater for GP's too
