Today was the day to put all 7 together for the first time!
Set up the 4ft dog crate for them in the gym as usual, also brought a grooming spray this time rather than wipes, to put on them before they went together so they all smelt the same

I used my old fail safe of adding one at a time to the new bunny

First up was Marley as she is usually the quietest of the bunch, she doesnt kick off at anyone and backs down from all of them, bottom of the pecking order. I put her in and Jana went nuts everytime Marley went near her, she was thumping her feet and just running, which made Marley chase her! So I put them in a carrier for 5 minutes to settle them and it seemed to work fairly well...





Then I added in Mclaren, he is the most gentle giant, he acts as a mediator when I am bonding, he's great. Once he had gone in there, all chasing between the 2 girls stopped!




Then Kimba, she got on well with Jana in the run when they met and she is such a soppy thing, she just likes to cuddle up to everyone, she had one chase of Jana, I sprayed her with water and she didnt do it again!






Next was Rascal, he's a lovely boy to bond but I left him til now because he tends to show a bit of refered aggression when he is bonding with a new one, which he did today against Kimba, he pulled a few chunks of fur, but good choice because Kimba just ignored him and he calmed down, after that he didnt really even look at Jana!




Darwin was 2nd to last as he is the boss man of the shed, he gets his own way all the time, no-one will challenge him, not even Gypsy! I was worried because of his size, if he took a dislike he could hurt her, but he was a good boy for the most part, him and Rascal had a few scraps, which again I expected, and that upset the others but with a bit of water spraying they settled eventually!





Then was the terror! It came to the point of having to add Gypsy, she really is a horrible little rabbit She is a bugger for "boxing". She will go up to them like she's going to groom them, then whack them on the head!
She caused a few problems, surprise surprise! She kicked off at Jana which made her run into Rascal who kicked off at Darwin etc etc! But it calmed down like it always does, even if they got a bit wet in the process!





All of them settled




Dinner Time



I am checking on them every hour now, and other than tipping the water dispenser over they are doing well, all laying down next to each other and grooming! There has been absolutely no humping which is good

I will disinfect the shed tomorrow morning, leave it to dry then put the gate on so its just half the shed to start with possibly tomorrow afternoon depending on how they are getting on.

So do I Crofty I have just been to check on them and they look good, Jana is laying stretched out at the end, looking very chilled, the others were sat looking at me, I guess they heard me coming on the stones!

They are doing well, I was silly earlier and moved them from the cage into the shed but let them have the whole shed and it caused chaos! So I took them for a drive to settle them, kept them in the crate for another half hour then gave them half of the shed and its much better

Gypsy is being her usual stroppy self, she's setting everyone off, so she keeps getting sprayed!
