Dandruff ??

Hiya

I'm not sure if anyone can help/advise me. I have a 6mth mini lop buck who I think has dandruff. He isn't scratching at all, has no hair loss and is in good health. When I was grooming him the other day I noticed some very dry patches on him, they are very flakey but not sore. I've looked everywhere for advice but am not sure what to do???

Re: Dandruff ??

mites, ring worm, skin infection, allergic reaction, could be a few things best to take him to the vets where they can take a skin sample and look under a microscope

Re: Dandruff ??

Lottie has this and I took her to the vets as I was worried it was mites. She had some little sore patches and I had to put cream on them and then she was fine if it is mites though they are simple to treat too.

Its definately best to take her to the vet - they'll pick the 'dandruff' up on some sellotape and look under the microscope to see what it is
