Question about bonding

Hey everyone
I had 2 pairs of rabbits Frankie and Sebastien and Sydnee and Angel, they weren't all kept together, each pair had their own cage.

Sadly a few months ago Frankie passed away and Seb has been left all alone and he is acting more and more depressed every day
I am really not able to get another rabbit right now to pair him up with, I did try and see if anyone wanted a male bunny on a rabbit forum but unfortunately no one was really interested (dont yell at me! I was only trying to find him a home so he was happy, not because I dont want him)

Anyway, I have another bonded pair, sydnee and angel.

My question is....would it be possible to bond all 3 of them? Or would it be dangerous trying to put Sebastien in?
I have heard of people putting a female in with an already bonded male/female pair but never a male.
Would it work?

If so I would join their cages/runs together, so altogether they would have 2 6ft cages with under runs and 2 6ft runs, would that be enough space for all 3?

Thanks in advance for any replies.

Re: Question about bonding

I have 2 trios, one of them is 2 bucks and 1 doe.
It can be difficult to bond unrelated bucks, but it is possible.
Make sure that the area you introduce them in is completly neutral, there are a few bonding threads on here if you look further down, you can get some great tips on there

Re: Question about bonding

Thank you very much for both of your replies

After alot of thought and chatting to my mum I have decided that I will just get Sebastien a bunny wife instead of trying to bond him with the pair I already have, this way everyone will be happy. I have bonded a male and female before so things should be fine (fingers crossed!) I was a little worried that introducing Seb to the pair might upset them as they are a very close pair and I dont want any miserable bunnies....and this way I get to rescue 1 more bun
The pair will then be going to live with my mum (she lives 2 mins away from me) as she was very ill but is now getting better and the docs have said some pets to focus on could help her recovery, yay!
So now I'm just on the lookout for a female rabbit.

Sounds sensible to me, theres lots of rescue does looking for a nice home so thats a bonus!!
