Re: Rabbit going through a weird moult :/

male lion heads to tend to loose their manes when they moult and develop different hair.

Its very important to brush lion heads daily especially during molt as ingesting too much loose hair can cause them to stop eating, I have had this with Miffy when she was stressed because I was bonding her, taking her to the vets on Easter sunday was nice and expensive. Pineapple juice is great at breaking down any fur they have eaten its something to do with the enzymes in it, I always give mine a tiny bit a day when there moulting heavily.

Mine both moult in strange patterns too, Atticus ends up with a random dark patch in the middle of his back, looks similar to the pic you have uploaded actually, just in brown. Hades kind of moults in stages, his back with have new short hair and he'll have a distinct line around his bum where he has long scruffy hair.

His coat looks very short ontop, is he itchy? They are prone to mites during big moults may want to treat him for them too.
