rabbit not eating need advice

I just got a new rabbit yesterday. I was told he was about a year old and all day long I noticed he is still not eating at all and he now seems like he might be a sick bunny. he will only eat his own poop which is only about one or two droppings and they are very tiny and black in color. He also wants to drink and lick up his own pee. I was told that he needed a lot of attention I didn't realize that it might med medical.

Re: rabbit not eating need advice

Take him to a good rabbit vet today! A rabbit that doesn't eat will soon be very sick and has a high chance of dying unless something is done fast.

Re: rabbit not eating need advice

he needs pain relief, medication to make him poo and special liquid rabbit food. only a vet can provide this.

Rabbit are very susceptible to stress, a car journey can be enough to stop them from eating. I'm sure with good care and diet he will be a happy bunny
