All my animals let out over night :( !!

Went out to check on them as I do every morning and ALL the animal hutches were OPEN!!! 4 rabbits and 2 guineas were out in the garden 4 un-neuted males!! spent 30 mins trying to round them up and catch them! there is fur everywhere!!

checked them over but they are all terrfied! tried to calm them down! I checked all there boys bits and all in tacked!! tho noticed a tiny spot of blood on my sleeve after I put them all back! it's not much blood, do I go and check which one its coming from now?? or leave them to calm down for abit!

I have no idea who let them out i wouldn't of thought it was another animal, I can only think that some stupid idiot got into the garden and let them all out :/ all I know is that they were all away at 11pm last night and at 7am they were all out :/ who the hell would do that!!

sorry for waffling, still in shock :/

omg thats so horrible It would be an idiot letting them out because another animal would have eaten them. And go check later if the blood was only a small amount xx

Re: All my animals let out over night :( !!

I would go out and buy locks for all the hutches today to make sure it can't happen again. I would guess its some kids who are bored and wanted to see what would happen if they were let together.

For now let them calm down and check on them in an hour or so. Must have been horrible for you and the rabbits to go through that, be thankful it could have ended a lot worse had a fox seen them loose or they hurt each other.

Re: All my animals let out over night :( !!

Yea im defo gona get padlocks!!!

It is horrible!! at first It didnt like twig! cos it was early I was half asleep and I saw crunchie out, now crunchie is out free in the garden everyday and then goes back in at night! so I thought ohh mums been down earlier and let him out, and then I saw the others and the guinea pigs and my stomach just sunk, thank god my garden is rabbit proof and fully enclosed or could be searching the streets for them!

just peeked on them, there all abit more settled, I was really worried about smartie he was really floppy and dosile and didn't even fight or kick when being picked up which he always does! he is now eating so guess thats a good sign!

Rolo is doing his normal lie upside down and 'play died' I did check and he is alive!

Poor litte Albert is a mess! he's a fluffyy lionhead so is all ratty! gona need some serious grooming and maybe even a bath! to untangle him, but he seems okay

and I think crunchie is just peed off at being put back!! lol he is sat in his litter tray sulking aha!

I am just relived there all okay! so much for our guard dog labradors aha there usless!

I let them all calm down and now checked them over only one seems to have what i think are proberly bite marks, need his tail, i presume this is where one of the others has tried to turn him over! I've gave it abit of a clean and he seems fine just abit quiet, luckally I think they will all be okay! especially with there new padlocks x

Re: All my animals let out over night :( !!

would be a good idea to take the bitten one to the vets for an antibiotic jab as cat bites can easily become infected.

If you cant bring them in, then I would think about a shed, if someone really wants to be mean a padlock wont stop them
