VHD and Myxie Vaccinations

Have booked an appointment at vet tomorrow for Nala to have her booster vaccinations done. It has just come to mind that there has to be a 2 week break between VHD and Myxi injections.
She had her VHD done in towards end of September last year, but she developed "Cylap Limp". She had her Myxi done September 2009 and March 2010.
My worry is we are off on holiday in 3 weeks, so wanted to make sure she had her injections this week, so we could make sure she had no side effects like last time.
Would it be ok to get her VHD done tomorrow and then her myxi in 2 weeks time or would it be best to get her Myxi done first then VHD done when we come back beginning of October, then we will be here to make sure all is well.
Sorry to ramble a bit, but any advice would be appreciated. Thanks

Re: VHD and Myxie Vaccinations

I would have thought that would be fine to do, the only thing I would do is ask your vet if they could use Lapinject for your VHD instead of Cylap.
Because Cylap is oil based a lot of rabbits develop reactions, Lapinject doesn't and it costs the vet the same to get it

Re: VHD and Myxie Vaccinations

I would ask the vet for the Lapinject. I did and they are now planning to change their whole stock over to Lapinject. (they previously only used Cylap). It will take them a while to get it in, so I would get the myxi tomorrow and the VHD in 2 weeks time.

Re: VHD and Myxie Vaccinations

Just back from vets, Nala has had her Myxi booster, and will get VHD booster beginning of October, after we come home from holiday. It was due 30th September, so vet says a few days late is ok.
Did ask if they used Lapinject, but was told no. They did say she may not have a reaction like last time "limp", so will go along with them this time, but if same happens again....no more Cylap.
