Rascal gave me a scare!

I went out to the Burrow at 6.30am yesterday morning as usual, and I had the bunnies all pile in around the food bowls but not Rascal, I thought he must be in the run but found him behind the mesh door laying in the litter tray, looking very sorry for himself. He was hunched up and the only way I can describe him is he looked cold, (like when we are cold we hunch ourselves up?) so I picked him up and put him on the floor to see if he would move, he hopped to the carpet and layed hunched up again. So I put him in a cat carrier with a load of shreaded paper and a plastic bottle of warm water, offered him food which he turned his nose up at and asked my dad to keep an eye on him, because I HAD to go to work, I was finishing at 12.30 so I could take him to the vets then. If he got worse, my dad was gonna take him.
I rang dad at 9am to see how he was doing and dad said he was hopping around and eating the hay! So I booked an appointment for 4pm and said that if I got home and he was bad I would take him straight up.

Took him yesterday and the vet gave him a check over and said the ONLY thing she could feel or see possibly wrong was a lump around his stomach/bladder area. She wasnt sure if it was poo or something like a bladder stone so she asked me to come back today so she could see if it had passed or if it needed further investigation.

Took him back today and she felt again, no lump she also managed to get a urine sample from him and checked it. Everything is perfect No sign of kidney or liver problems, heart and lungs are great and his teeth have a very very small ammount of spurring on them at the back but no ulcers or anything to suggest they are a problem. She said he is the ideal weight and in very good condition

I asked her what she thought it was for those couple of hours and she said she thinks he may have had a bit of bloat which was causing him discomfort but because he is so fit and healthy that he sorted it out himself!

So, he had been playing silly buggers with me over the last couple of days!

I took Kimba with him to the vets today as well to keep him company(as shes the most chilled and easy to handle) and I cant get over how not bothered she is by everything! The vet was examining Rascal and shes in the carrier watching and then she just flopped! She was laying flat out in the carrier in the vets! lmao. I said to the vet "And thats why I brought her with him!" she said "yeh, she does look very chilled, she's gorgeous!" lol
