Re: Rabbit home

OMG! Snap it up!

If its in good condition then it should be brilliant! Post a picture and well be able to see more! They will need a 'hide away' bit to shelter from the wind/rain etc so maybe attaching a shed or something to it? i cant wait for pictures! x

Its got a kennel bit attached thats wood and has like a hole to get into the run. I would put a shelter on the run aswell to keep them from the rain

Re: Rabbit home

Take it. Something like that is much better than the standard bunny hutch and run. My two outside have a 8x6 shed with 10ft run built and attached to it with a catflap type door between shed and run thats locked at night. Having something like that or a dog kennel/run gives them so much more space and freedom to choose where they want to spend they're days rather than hutch at night and put out in a run in the day (and thats if the owner remembers to put them in the run, can't you tell I have little faith in the average Joe and his pet rabbit).

Have the dogs met bunnies yet? When I had my dog the rabbits used to play with him and chase him round the garden. This was a big collie x GSD so not exactly a small dog to be playing with rabbits. Sophie used to go up to him when he was laying in the garden and pull the long fur on his tail to start off a game of chase. Rosie used to hump my oh's dog and he was a little yorkie.

I was thinking you already had the bunnies. I need to learn to read things properly. Once you have bunnies and they've settled in let doggies have a good sniff around the dirty run without the bunnies there so dogs get used to the smell before going near the bunnies themselves. The novelty soon wears off once the smell becomes boring.

Umm novelty wear off?? You havnt met Breeze?

Thanx i will do that. Were going to build a fence around the whole run and kennel anyway so the dogs keep their distance
