toilet training

I have been trying with no luck to get bugsy to wee in his trays he does it right next to it and does use it sometimes but not all the time Is it true that older boys are harder to train even when neutered cos of ingrained behaviour ? and another question cos its costing me heaps in litter trying to train him by putting trays all over the room Lol can I use newspaper instead ? is that safe and crap ? .

Re: toilet training

OMG... this just reminded me of 7 years ago... first house i'd lived in on my own... had a house rabbit called Buster... he was USELESS at potty training... i ended up having to throw so much stuff away as he had peed all over it

Re: toilet training

our 2 are pretty well trained allthough theres always stray ones laid about when we put them in the run on a night, but as far as i know they ALWAYS pee in the litter tray and do most their plops in there aswell, just the odd stray ones like i said. its just the caetropes thingys that they never do in the tray, i guess what they dont eat they just leave where their standing.......thanks bunnys!!!!!

lastnight they were out in the garden a few hours, all that grass 2 crap on....as soon as i brought them in they jumped in the litter tray and proceeded to fill it up.......why!!!!.....why!!!!!!!!! lil sods

I'm using breeders choice at the moment and its seventeen bucks a bag and I use one a week which is ok but newspaper is free I have tried putting half hay half litter and moved the trays to where he wees and I have been emptying it then using a brush and water in the sink to get the stuck lumps Lol and then drying them I thought if it smelt like there loo he would use it more ? Where he wees I clean it up with spray n wipe I never tried the washing powder is that stronger smell or something ?
Typical bloke really aye my boys do it right next to the lool too
