Rabbit run mess

When I put the rabbits in the rabbit run, they always make lots of mess by getting food all over the grass etc.

So, how do you lot clean there stuff up on the grass?

Re: Rabbit run mess

i often use the dustpan and brush that i use to clean them out, most of my lot use one corner of the run to go to the loo, so just sweep it up every day and then keeps the mother happy too :-) x

Re: Rabbit run mess

Thanks.

I have tried using a rabbit try with them before but they did not use it so they just do stuff where ever they like.

I've bin told having them on hard ground is bad for them as it can give them lots of leg problems. Ain't sure if it's true or not.

Would it be best for me to just tell them Rabbit run and just let them run around on the grass some tinmes as they no where they can go and also I'm always out there when there out.

So that way, they get all the garden and not just a bit of grass and I don't get a much mess.

Thanks
Paul

Re: Rabbit run mess

depending on the age of your rabbit they will only need feeding rabbit food once a day. I personally just provide mine with some hay in a little dog bed, they then eat the hay when theyve had enough grass and poo in there too

Sorry for slow reply, there not that old I would say about 1 and half years old..
Mine eat so much tho but then again they are two.

What I've done is, I've got a plastic sheet and put under the run so they can't dig out and it's also easy to clean. Then I've put some hay on it so now there happy.

I'll post pictures off it later.

Paul

All mine are on litter trays so i put there trays in the run and they go in them, and I don't put food in there, just hay and the odd carrot, cos they all get fed in the afternoon
