Dye in eye

I took my lionhead rabbit to the vet this morning as she had a sore and swollen eye which turned out was caused by a bit of grass seed getting in there. The nurse at the vet clinic used a green dye to put in her eye to see what was causing the soreness.
I was wondering if the dye will go away on its own, seems how she didn't mention how to get rid of it. Should I leave it or wash her eye a bit?
Thanks

If its anything like the dye they use on humans then yes it will go away on its own.

Re: Dye in eye

yup, my Eli had dye put in his eyes last week and it came out on it's own. she did wash some of it out just with a wet cotton wool ball though.
