10,000 chucks to be slaughtered end of oct if not claimed
I read a sign in a shop window in Lewes (south east UK) that there was urgent need for homes for ex battery chickens. All still good layers and have all the feathers so it will be a massive waste!
If anyone wants to rehome a gorgeous pair of hens or more, that after what they have been through, deserve a great life with you.... Please reply with your interest and I will send you the contact details  I really hope some of these chickens get saved!!! Thankyou Lu x P.s these hens are going for £1.50 each

Went in to get the number and found out they are ex free range chickens. They still need homes though urgently!
Heres the number 01273 845189, they are available for collection until 28th of October.

Apparently supermarkets wont buy the eggs unless the chickens are under 18mnths old! its stupid! I'm picking up 5 on wednesdayxx

 wish I could help, have you contacted any of the local rescues? mine takes in loads of chickens? it might just be worth giving them the number and asking them to advertise. well done for taking 5
