I have a really pretty large Fowl Blue Buff Columbian Brahma hen looking for a special home who will be able to meet her needs with advice from me on what to do.
She needs to go to a home where she'll be the only bird on the premises for at least six months. This is because she's been very poorly recently with a respiratory infection and she may infect other birds.
She may have minor break outs of the infection periodically until we get into warm dry weather.
She's lively and eating well at present. I am a very experienced keeper and breeder and I will provide you with an information sheet on what to look for and what medication to buy in from the vets [even a vets that doesn't do poultry] and its not excessively expensive.
In return she will reward your kindness with so many laughs and delights as well as eggs once she's fully recovered.
She is a very good example of her breed who just deserves a chance without endangering other birds while she recovers. Brahma's have fantastic natures being calm relaxed and easy going. Ideal breed for beginners or children. They have a definite presence to them and are a very attractive bird.
I need to rehome her asap as she's a serious risk to my other poultry and I can not allow her out at present because of this.
You can contact me via my website annschooks.co.uk which gives both my mobile and email details.
